Standing water near your foundation is not just annoying - it is a real problem. When water has nowhere to go, it sits. And when it sits long enough, it starts causing damage to your lawn, your driveway edge, and eventually your foundation. That is exactly what we were dealing with here.
The existing buried downspout run had failed. Water was not moving like it should, and the grade of the lawn was working against the homeowner instead of for them. A quick patch was not going to cut it. We pulled out the mini excavator and dug up the full run to get a real look at what we were working with. What we found confirmed it - the whole line needed to go.
We replaced the entire buried downspout run and corrected the grade so water flows cleanly from the house out toward the road. That is the key part most people miss. You can swap out pipe all day, but if the surrounding grade is not right, you are just delaying the same problem. Regrading the lawn alongside the pipe replacement is what makes the fix actually last.
After backfilling and grading, the area was seeded and covered with straw matting to protect the disturbed soil and get grass re-established. It is a clean finish that sets the homeowner up well heading into the wetter months. Less standing water, less erosion, and one less thing to worry about every time it rains.
We also offer endoscope inspections if you are not sure whether your existing buried lines are the problem. Sometimes a full replacement is needed - other times we can pinpoint a specific failure and address it directly. Either way, we are set up to get a solution in place fast.
