Landscape Design, Installs & Lighting That Last
We create custom outdoor spaces with expert planting, quality hardscapes, and durable lighting built for Central Ohio homes.
Landscape Design, Installs & Lighting
At First Tier Services, we design and build outdoor spaces that look great, work well, and hold up over time. Our landscape design, installation, and lighting service is built for homeowners who want more than a basic yard. We create custom landscapes with planting, hardscapes, drainage planning, grading support, and low-voltage lighting that bring the whole property together.
We start with your goals, budget, and how you want to use the space. Some homeowners want better curb appeal. Others want a backyard patio for relaxing, entertaining, or family time. We can create a full landscape plan or provide a design-only option for DIY homeowners who want a professional layout before doing the work themselves. We also offer free estimates and free landscape design for qualifying clients, which helps make the planning process easier.
Our installations can include foundation plantings, privacy screening, flower beds, mulch or stone beds, edging, tree and shrub placement, sod areas, and seasonal color planning. When a project calls for structure and function, we also build hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and gathering spaces. We use quality materials from Oberfields and Unilock for pavers and retaining walls, not big-box store products, because better materials lead to better results and longer life.
Good landscape work is not just about appearance. It also needs to manage water, fit the grade of the property, and be installed the right way. With our background in excavation, hardscape construction, and drainage, we can address the site conditions that often get overlooked. That means we can help with proper base prep, drainage solutions, grading adjustments, and the ground work needed to support a lasting installation.
Our outdoor lighting systems add safety, visibility, and style after dark. We install landscape lighting for walkways, entry areas, patios, planting beds, and architectural features so your property stays useful and inviting at night. A well-lit landscape can improve security, highlight the best parts of your home, and extend the time you can enjoy your outdoor space.
We are a locally owned, family-operated company serving homeowners across Central Ohio. When you hire us, you get a team that values clear communication, quality workmanship, and custom results. If you are ready to upgrade your yard with professional landscape design, expert installation, and durable outdoor lighting, contact First Tier Services to schedule your estimate.
Our Process for Landscape Design, Installs & Lighting
We make outdoor upgrades simple with a clear plan, quality materials, and careful installation that fits your home, budget, and long-term goals.
Consultation, Site Review & Concept Plan
01We start with a free on-site consultation to walk your property, discuss how you want to use the space, and check grading, drainage, sun exposure, and access. Then we build a custom landscape design with planting, hardscape, and lighting ideas that match your home and goals.
Detailed Design, Pricing & Scheduling
02Once the concept is approved, we finalize material selections, fixture placement, and install details, including pavers, retaining walls, planting beds, and low-voltage lighting. We provide a clear estimate, realistic timeline, and scheduling plan so you know exactly what to expect before work begins.
Expert Installation & Final Walkthrough
03Our crew handles the full install with close attention to prep, drainage, construction quality, and clean finishing work, typically over several days depending on project size. We finish with a full walkthrough, test the lighting at dusk when needed, and make sure every detail is right before we call the job complete.

Why homeowners recommend us
See what neighbors say about the quality, care, and lasting results of our landscape work.
"I had a great experience working with First Tier Services and would highly recommend them. From the beginning of the project through completion, the crew was always extremely professional, respectful, and easy to work with. They listened to any questions or concerns I had and were always willing to give their professional opinion on the best way to complete the project. It was clear that they cared about doing the job correctly and making sure everything was completed to a very high standard. As a first-time homeowner, I did not always know what to expect with a project like this, but they did an excellent job explaining everything in a way that was simple and easy to understand. They took care of the entire process from start to finish, which made the experience much less stressful for me. We ran into some rain delays and weather-related issues along the way, but communication was always excellent. I was kept informed about what was happening, what the next steps were, and when work could continue. They also went the extra mile when it came to the finishing touches and cleanup. They made sure the property was cleaned up, everything looked professional, and I was satisfied with the completed work before wrapping up the project. Overall, I am extremely happy with the quality of the work and the level of service I received from First Tier Services. They were professional, knowledgeable, honest, and dependable throughout the entire project. I would absolutely use them again for future projects and would recommend them to anyone looking for a company that takes pride in its work and takes care of its customers."
