Sunken Front Patio Repair and Paver Restoration in Gahanna

A sunken spot on a front patio might not seem like a big deal at first. But when pavers start to dip near the foundation, water follows - and that's when small cosmetic issues turn into real structural headaches. That's exactly what we were dealing with here in Gahanna.

We started by pulling up the pavers in the settled area and regrading the base underneath to get everything sitting level again. You can see from the leveling process just how much the surface had shifted. Once the base was corrected and compacted, the pavers went back down flat and tight. After the reset, we pressure washed the entire patio surface using a surface cleaner attachment - the kind that cleans evenly without streaking or etching the pavers. Then came the resanding. Polymeric sand gets swept into the joints and locks the pavers in place, which cuts down on shifting and keeps weeds from creeping through. It's one of those finishing steps that a lot of people skip, but it makes a big difference in how long the work holds up.

The end result is a patio that sits level, drains properly, and looks clean again. More importantly, water is no longer being directed toward the house. That's the part that matters most long-term - paver issues that go unaddressed have a way of creating much bigger problems down the road.
